A protocol that protects both sides

Your family, because you know who walked into your home, at what time and where they are. And the nanny, because naniq knows which address she entered, who received her and when she left. Safety cannot run in one direction only.

Before anyone walks into your home

Half of the protocol happens weeks before the service. It is the part you do not see and the one that carries the most weight.

What we require from every nanny

  • Criminal record clearance. It must be current and we review every one of them. Without it, the registration does not continue.
  • First aid and pediatric CPR. Current, verified certification. In a choking or a fall, the first minutes are handled by whoever is there.
  • Verifiable references. We call them ourselves, one by one. We do not settle for the list she wrote down.
  • Online judgment assessment. Seventeen real caregiving situations, to see how she would handle each one. Some answers rule her out immediately.
  • Psychometric testing. Run and scored by an external lab: values and honesty, how she relates to people, and personality. We do not score them ourselves.
  • Verification video call. An in-depth conversation with naniq's verification team, trained in human resources, to confirm her track record and settle what a document cannot show.
  • Socioeconomic study and home visit. We learn where she lives, with whom and how she commutes. That way naniq knows where she leaves from and returns to every time she takes a service.

What we verify about every family

  • Verified identity. Official ID, proof of address and a selfie. Nobody books a nanny from an anonymous account.
  • Verified address. We confirm the service address exists and is yours. This is what prevents a nanny from being sent to a made up address.
  • Who opens the door. When you book, you state who receives the nanny and with what phone number. She checks it on arrival.

On the day of the service, step by step

Both sides see the same thing, at the same time, from the platform.

The nanny reports her arrival

She taps "I arrived" from her panel, before going in. You get the notice right away with the time. The service has not started yet.

Arrival check

The nanny confirms five things and counts the children. If everything matches, the service can start. If not, it stops.

You confirm it is her

You compare her face with her profile photo and confirm from your panel. It is logged with a timestamp.

Service running with live location

While the service lasts you can see where your nanny is, like on a trip. It switches off on its own at the end.

Help button on both sides

You and she have it at hand for the whole service. When activated, naniq gets the alert with location and calls.

Departure logged

The nanny marks her exit from the home and you get the notice. That closes the protocol and the charge is calculated.

If something does not match, the service does not start

The arrival check is not paperwork. When one answer comes back as No, the platform stops the service, naniq gets the alert with the detail and someone calls. The nanny does not have to decide alone at a stranger's door.

The 5 questions the nanny answers on arrival

  1. Is the address you arrived at the same one on the booking?
  2. Were you received by the person registered on the booking?
  3. Are the children from the booking there and is it that number?
  4. Do you know which adult is responsible and how to reach them?
  5. Do you feel safe staying in this home?

And one more that is not yes or no: how many children are actually there to care for. If the number does not match the booking, the service stops as well.

The nanny can walk away and nothing happens to her.
It is written that way in her panel: if she does not feel safe, she leaves. She does not lose her travel pay, we do not penalize her and she does not have to justify herself. A platform that punishes a nanny for leaving is pushing her to stay where she should not.

How we protect the nanny

A nanny walks alone into a home she does not know, with people she does not know. That risk is real and deserves its own protocol, not a footnote.

  • She knows where she is going before she leaves: an address verified by naniq, the name and phone of whoever receives her, and how many children she will care for.
  • If something does not match on arrival, she walks away. She does not go in, does not argue and does not lose her travel pay. No service is worth more than she is.
  • Her location is logged on arrival and during the service, so naniq knows which home she is in.
  • She has a help button for the whole service, with her location and details already loaded. She does not have to explain anything under pressure.
  • She registered her own emergency contact. If something happens, naniq knows who to call besides her.
  • She logs her exit from the home. A service is not considered finished until she is out.
  • The family is identified and verified too, and is also rated. The relationship goes both ways.

How we protect your family

  • You know exactly who entered your home: the person from the profile you chose, not whoever was sent.
  • You get the arrival notice with the time, before she goes in.
  • You see her location while the service lasts and the notice when she leaves.
  • Nobody improvises with your children: the nanny checks how many they are and who they are before starting.
  • You have a help button and a liability policy behind every service.
  • Nanny profiles are not public. Only you see them, with your verified account.

If a nanny is not right for you, we help you switch

You do not have to put up with it or start over. Tell us, we find another one from the network and you keep what you already covered. Finding the right person for your family sometimes takes two tries, and that is normal.

Everything is logged

Every step of the protocol is stored with its time, who did it and from where. If we ever have to explain what happened in a service, there is a record instead of somebody's memory.

What this protocol does not do

Overpromising on safety is worse than promising nothing, so here is the limit stated plainly.

  • naniq does not replace 911. If there is an emergency that cannot wait, call 911 first and tell naniq after. Our help button alerts, accompanies and escalates; it does not dispatch a patrol.
  • Location is shared only while the service lasts and with consent. Not before, not after. Nobody is tracked outside their shift.
  • Live location depends on the phone and the signal. If a nanny does not share it, the rest of the protocol still runs.
  • No filter can guarantee a person's future behavior. What we do verify is that every nanny passed every step, and what we do provide is a record of every service.
  • naniq does not provide insurance. There is no liability policy behind the services today, and we would rather say it than let you assume it. It is something we want to arrange later, and the day it exists you will read it here first.
  • Every nanny is an independent professional, not a naniq employee, and does not work under our orders. She decides which bookings to accept, when and where, and provides the care under her own professional responsibility. What naniq provides is the screening, the verification of both sides, the protocol and the record. That is what you are hiring from us.
